This cord plugs into the machine with the lead going to electrical outlet.  Fits Singer models 301, 401, 403 and 404.

This cord plugs into the machine with one lead going to the electrical outlet and the other lead going to the foot control. Fits Singer models 15-88/90, 27, 66, 201 and 221.
